Hayes Tree Care

About Hayes Tree Care

Fog sits on the Quaboag meadows most mornings until the sun burns it off the water, and Brookfield comes out from under it in pieces — the common, the steeple, the maples along Route 9. Hayes Tree Care starts in that hour, when the air is still and a tall removal can be lowered without a breath of wind to argue with. Along the shores of Quaboag Pond and South Pond the willows and silver maples go soft from the inside out, and knowing which ones to keep is most of the job. Pruning is the other half — lifting a crown, thinning it, letting a house dry out after a wet week. When a storm crosses the river valley and drops a tree over a stone wall, they take it off without disturbing a single stone.
