About ProGreen Landscaping

ProGreen Landscaping keeps its hands in the glacier-turned soil of Brockton, where the streets run down from the ponds of D.W. Field Park toward the old shoe-shop blocks and the Salisbury Plain River slips along under the bridges. Their week is mowing — residential lawns, commercial frontages, and the wide open acreage that takes a whole morning to cross — and then shrub trimming, flower beds mulched dark and even, annuals and perennials set in by hand, young trees planted for shade nobody has sat in yet. In April they haul off whatever winter left in the hedges; in November they take the maples' entire gold inventory off the grass, and clear the gutters while the ladders are still leaning. What stays behind is the pleasure of the thing: a stripe laid straight across a Brockton yard, a bed edged so cleanly the mulch looks poured, a lawn that holds its color deep into the heat.
