About Steve's Lawn Care, Inc.

The day opens with a pull-cord and a slow walk of the property line — deck height set, blade edge tested against a thumb, the first pass laid straight so every stripe behind it has something honest to follow. This is lawn care and snow removal worked out of Bridgewater, where the ground lies low and sandy between the river and the oaks, and a yard, given attention, will hold a clean line right through the long green middle of the year. Winter turns the same hands out under the streetlights, pushing the storm back off a driveway before the commute stirs, squaring the corners, leaving the pavement dark and open. There is a plain, physical pleasure in both ends of that work: the trimmed edge that makes a walkway look deliberate, and the cleared dooryard that hands a household its morning back. Read the ground, do the pass, leave the place better arranged than you found it — that is the whole of the trade, and it is enough.
