Then winter turns the job over: commercial snow removal across Plymouth, Barnstable and Suffolk Counties and out onto Cape Cod and the Islands, lots opened up while the sky is still dark. There is a plain, physical satisfaction in all of it — a joint swept tight, a grade that drains clean, a driveway black and bare before the first car turns in.
