About Gallagher Landscaping

In late July, Braintree keeps the day's heat in its granite ledge and old brick, and the mowers get the last cool hour before the light turns amber over the Monatiquot. Gallagher Landscaping is a landscape construction and lawn maintenance company working Boston's South Shore, doing mowing and fertilization programs, hedge and shrub trimming, aeration and sprinkler repair, bed edging and mulch laid dark against the green — and the heavier work too: plantings, patios and stone walkways, structural and decorative retaining walls. When the maples let go over Braintree, Quincy, Weymouth, Hingham, Cohasset and Scituate, the crews come through for spring and fall cleanups and the long haul of leaves; when the storms stack up off the water, it's 24-hour plowing, salting and snow removal, condominium drives and commercial lots opened while the town is still asleep. What stays behind is the plain satisfaction of the trade — a crisp edge holding its line, a wall that sits true, a lot cleared to black pavement before the first car turns in.
