Boston's southwest corner runs on old glacial ridge and stream valley — the wooded rise above Jamaica Plain, the slate sidewalks and triple-decker dooryards of Roslindale, West Roxbury's deep lots, the low river ground down in Hyde Park — and Will Mow Lawn works that terrain yard by yard as a small landscape maintenance company in the neighborhoods where they live. Spring is the loud season: the Spring Clean, winter's litter of twigs and matted leaf hauled off, pruning cuts made while the buds are still tight, then mulch delivered and laid dark around the beds so every edge reads sharp from the sidewalk. Summer settles into rhythm — mowing, hedges squared, weeding, cleanup — the good ache of a lawn striped clean by late morning while the maples throw shade back over the street.
