About Hines services

The mower makes its last pass along a Roslindale fence line and the lawn holds its stripes like a bed pulled tight — that is the moment worth stepping back for. Hines Services keeps both halves of the year: mowing, fertilization, aeration and pest control while the grass is running, then snow plowing, shoveling and de-icing when the granite curbs vanish and a driveway has to be open before the first commute. Between those poles comes the building work — custom landscape design and installation, planting, hardscaping, garden beds cut clean into a sloping city yard — along with spring and fall cleanups, leaf removal, gutter cleaning, and light pruning of trees and shrubs. Boston's yards are small and particular, hemmed by triple-deckers, old stone walls and the low harbor light that comes in sideways all winter, and they repay exactly this sort of attention: an edge that stays crisp, a bed that reads as intended, a walk swept bare at dawn.
