About Milltown Excavation Inc.

West of the common the land falls hard toward the Westfield River, and in an ice storm the road down is glass from top to bottom. Milltown Excavation Inc. goes out into exactly that, plowing and sanding, working driveways cut into a slope that gives nothing away for free. Sand goes where the grade demands it, the banks get knocked back off the edges, and the walkways come clear down to something a boot can trust. Late in the morning the sun finally reaches the ice and the whole hillside starts dripping — and by then the day's driveways have long been black and open. Snow removal for Blandford, Chester, Russell and Huntington.
