About C & J Tree Services

Peabody Square wakes early, and in January the light doesn't arrive until well after the traffic does. C & J Tree Services works the dense streets around it — the tight side yards behind the old tannery blocks, the maples following the North River's course, the shade trees ringing Crystal Lake. Space is the constraint in this part of the city, so removals come down in rope-set sections and trimming is measured against fences, gutters and the neighbor's roof. Pruning done in the bare months sets a tree up for the whole growing season, and it's a real pleasure to come back in July and see what one winter cut did. Every job closes out the same way, with nothing left behind but more light in the side yard.
