About Newton Handy Hubby

Trapelo Road climbs past Waverley Square with the rail line running below it, and when snow comes the town's tight driveways fill fast. Newton Handy Hubby handles snow removal across Belmont — plowing, shoveling out cars and walkways, cutting down the apron the town plow leaves behind, salting the steps and the front sidewalk. That last packed ridge at the end of a driveway is the one that ruins a morning, and it goes first. Belmont was laid out as a town of homes, close together and steep in places, so the job takes as much patience as it does push. Open pavement by daylight is the entire point.
