Northeast Maintenance Services

About Northeast Maintenance Services

Bedford's older streets keep their stone walls low and furred with moss, the dooryards wide, the road easing along toward the Shawsheen before it remembers where it was going. Northeast Maintenance Services works these properties across the turning year — mowing lawns down to a clean, even nap through the long green months, then clearing snow from drives and walks while the sky over the Great Meadows is still the color of pewter. There is a plain satisfaction in the work: the first pass of the blade at dawn, the bank of snow set neatly aside, a yard that looks tended from the road. The same trucks turn up in Burlington and Billerica, Lexington and Winchester, and on out to Reading, Sudbury and Newton, leaving each address a little more itself.
