About M&N Lawn Care INC

Barnstable is built on ground the glaciers left in a hurry — an outwash plain of sand and gravel tilting south toward Nantucket Sound, pitch pine and scrub oak thinning into salt marsh, kettle ponds set in the low places like spilled water. From Centerville, out on Falmouth Road, M&N Lawn Care INC works those yards with lawn care, garden design, and seasonal services, on soil that drains before you finish watering it and in air that comes off the water carrying salt. There is a plain pleasure in beating that: turf that holds its green through an August of sun and wind, beds cut to a clean shoulder and mulched dark, a border that reads like somebody meant every line of it. The reward comes at the end of a Cape afternoon — edges crisp, the grass all laid one direction, the light going long and gold over the marsh grass, and a garden that looks loved because it is.
