About Hercules Landscaping

On the Barnstable side streets the dooryards run to sand and scrub oak, low fieldstone walls hold their line, and the hydrangeas go blue by June. Hercules Landscaping works these yards out of Hyannis — spring and fall cleanups, mulching, irrigation, planting and tree work, plus the heavier building: patios, retaining walls, and driveways laid to sit level for a long while. There's a particular satisfaction at the end of a mulch day, when every bed reads as one dark ribbon and the edge against the grass is cut clean enough to follow with your eye. A tree comes down, light drops into a corner it hasn't touched in years, and the whole yard rearranges itself around the change. Salt air weathers everything on this coast; this is the work that keeps a place looking tended anyway.
