About The GroundsKeeper Inc.

Ashland shows itself first at the dooryards — clapboard and fieldstone, low walls running along Route 135 toward the Sudbury River, mill brick turning pink in the late light. The GroundsKeeper Inc. works that ground the way the town asks for it: lawns kept and fed into a deep, even green, landscapes designed and maintained, irrigation tuned so the dry stretch of August passes without a scorch mark, and snow management through the winter across corporate campuses, shopping centers and condominium drives from MetroWest into Greater Boston and central Massachusetts. There is a plain pleasure in the finished edge — a walk swept bare while the streetlights are still burning, a lot opened black and wide before the first commute, an island of beds that reads as planted rather than merely tended. It is heavy, weather-facing work, and it leaves its evidence out where everyone drives past it.
