About Moodscapes LLC

A spade bites clay, a mattock rings off Arlington's glacial stone, and then the machines go quiet and it is only hands — setting a plant, tamping a joint, running a thumb down the edge of new stonework to check that it reads true. Moodscapes designs, builds, and tends gardens across Arlington and the towns around it, working the slopes that fall away toward the Mystic and the flatter lots near Spy Pond, where the light comes off the water in long silver sheets. The work runs from design and construction — hardscape, water features, front-entry gardens, outdoor rooms carved out of ordinary backyards — through the slower gardening that follows, the land care that keeps a woodland border thick and a dining terrace swept and ready for use. What they leave is physical: a path steady underfoot, beds banked and mulched dark, a contemplation corner that feels like it was always meant to be there. Season by season the ground settles into the shape they gave it, and holds.
