About GreenScapes Lawn and Garden Services, Inc.

In April, when the ice finally lets go of Spy Pond and the hillsides below Robbins Farm start pushing green, GreenScapes Lawn and Garden Services is already out in Arlington with rakes and mulch, opening the beds for another year. The calendar here is long: spring cleanups and mulching, mowing straight through the humid stretch of July, lawn rejuvenation, fertilization and weed control, then the steady haul of fall cleanups when the maples along the Minuteman Bikeway let everything go at once. They also install and manage drip irrigation, tuning each zone to its own slope, soil and plantings so the water reaches the roots instead of running off down the drive. It is patient work, and you can read it right from the sidewalk — a crisp edge along the walk, mulch dark and even, a lawn holding its color up the steep Heights streets where the city skyline shows between the rooftops.
