Terra Nova

About Terra Nova

Andover keeps its forest close, with Harold Parker's oak and white pine crowding right up to the last mailbox on some roads. Terra Nova starts early, when dew still silvers the grass and the mower leaves a dark track behind it. Lawns here live in half-shade, so the work runs to careful cutting, thinning the leaf drop off the turf, and mulch laid clean around the beds. Trimming, edging, spring and fall cleanups, the ordinary list done until a yard looks composed rather than merely cut. There is no finer hour in town than the one just after the machines shut off and the smell of cut grass fills the road.
