North Amherst keeps its old bones: fieldstone walls running off into the trees, dooryards that open straight onto the road, gravel drives bending toward barns the valley never quite gave up. Summit Landscaping and Lawn Care works those properties the way the ground asks to be worked — beds edged and mulched to a clean dark line, brush cleared, shrubs and trees set in, brick walkways and timber retaining walls placed where the land wanted a shape, new lawns hydroseeded and then mown all summer under the long light off the Holyoke Range. At the turns of the year they strip the yards back to bare intention with spring and fall cleanups, chipping the tree work as they go. Then the season flips, and the plow and sander run residential and commercial routes while the valley is still dark. There is a plain physical pleasure in all of it: the crisp edge of a bed, a patio that sits true, a driveway opened before anyone has to think about it.
