About Helia Land Design Inc

Alford is a hilltown of a few hundred people, where gravel roads wander between hayfields and the Green River slips quietly south toward the Housatonic. Helia Land Design Inc shapes lawns and landscapes in a place where the land itself is already the main event: stone walls, open meadow, the wooded shoulder of Tom Ball Mountain catching the late sun. Designing here means knowing when to step back, letting a lawn run easily out to the field and setting plantings that frame the view instead of crowding it. In late September, when the maples on the ridges begin to burn red and orange, a thoughtfully shaped yard looks as though it has always belonged to the hillside. That sense of belonging is the whole aim.
