Troy's Tree Services

About Troy's Tree Services

Adams sits in Greylock's shadow, the mountain filling the western sky and the Hoosic running past the brick mills at the bottom of town. Troy's Tree Services works these hill streets and the roads climbing out of the valley — removals when a big maple has gone hollow above a house, pruning to get limbs off slate roofs and driveways, trimming young crowns into shape, and cleanup after a wet March snow loads the branches until they let go. Berkshire trees grow slow and heavy and come down hard, so the work is planned twice before it is cut once. The part people remember is the morning after: brush gone, lawn unmarked, the drive clear before anyone has to leave for work. In this valley the weather comes down off the ridge with its mind made up, and every yard has a tree standing in the way of it.
