About United Landscape

A lawn cut clean on a Thursday morning in Abington will hold its line all week, and that stripe in the grass is most of the reward. United Landscape works the flat, sandy ground of the South Shore, where oak and white pine press in on the old shoe-town streets and the light coming off Island Grove Pond arrives soft and faintly salted. The work is mowing and yard maintenance, and landscape projects shaped patiently around what a homeowner pictured but couldn't quite say out loud — measurements traded back and forth, questions answered, the plan kept in plain view until it's finished. Out past Abington the same trucks turn down lanes in Whitman, Rockland and Scituate. By August the edges still read true, and by the time the maples let go over Beaver Brook, the yard has earned its rest.
