Electric Bee

About Electric Bee

In Woodmere the day has two good hours, and they come before the sun clears the levee. That is when Electric Bee is out on the St. Augustine grass, mowing while the dew still holds the blade down and the live oaks along the side streets keep their shade. By the time the heat stands up off Lapalco Boulevard, the trimming is finished and the edges run straight as a chalk line. Clippings get blown off the walk and back into the turf where they belong, so a yard reads done from the street. Lawn care on the West Bank is a conversation with a growing season that barely pauses, and this is one half of that conversation, held every week.
