About Dugdemona Outdoors

The Dugdemona winds slow and brown through Winn Parish, willow-shaded and quiet, and the country it drains is half pine ridge, half bottomland. Dugdemona Outdoors takes its name from that river and its schedule from a north Louisiana summer — mow early, trim while the shade holds, and be off the hill before the heat wins the argument. Yards out this way run big and irregular, with fence lines, ditches and treelines a mower alone will not finish, so string trimming does the real detail work. Brush and overgrowth get knocked back before they turn into something harder. The result is ground that reads open and kept, right up to where the woods take over.
