Pat's Mowers and Equipment

About Pat's Mowers and Equipment

Sunset sits on the open Cajun prairie of St. Landry Parish, a small town whose very name points to the hour when the light runs long and gold across the cane fields. Pat's Mowers and Equipment is rooted in that ground, centered on mowers, lawn equipment and the lawn care that puts them to work. The grass out here comes up green and stubborn from early spring deep into fall, and a machine that starts on the first pull matters as much as a steady hand on the handle. There is real pleasure in a cut that comes out even from fence line to porch step, the engine finally going quiet as the sky turns orange over the rows. In a town called Sunset, that is a fitting way to close out the day.
