About JOLLY GREEN CUTS LLC

By two in the afternoon the live oaks around St. Martinville have thrown down enough shade to work in, and the Spanish moss hangs perfectly still in air too thick to move it. That is when JOLLY GREEN CUTS LLC gets the long stretches done — mowing, trimming close around trunks and mailbox posts, edging the walks, carrying off what the blades leave behind. Under trees that old the grass grows uneven, thin in the shade and thick where the sun gets through, and it takes some patience to make one lawn out of two. Weeds get treated, shrubs get cut back off the windows, and leaves get pulled out of the beds where they gather. The reward comes at the end: the walk back to the truck, turning once to look at it from the street.
