Green Cut

About Green Cut

Autumn shows itself on River Road first — cane wagons rolling, smoke out over the fields, and a lawn that finally slows down enough to hold the shape you give it. Green Cut takes that turn of the year seriously in Reserve, easing the mowing height into a fall pattern and keeping the turf clear as the pecans and oaks begin to let go. Through the growing months it is the steady round instead: cutting, edging along drives and walkways, and trimming the corners a deck will never reach. Borders get their lines back, and the cuttings leave with the crew rather than sitting in the ditch. By the time cool weather settles over St. John the Baptist Parish, the yard is tidy, open and ready for a quiet winter.
