About Pelican Tree Care LLC

From the levee at Port Allen you can watch tows swing toward the lock while the Baton Rouge skyline sits across the water, and behind you West Baton Rouge Parish runs green in cane to the horizon. Pelican Tree Care LLC works those west-bank yards and lanes — removals, pruning to keep crowns clear of roofs and lines, trimming for headroom over a drive, and cleanup after a storm crosses the river and fills the streets with limbs. Fall has a sound to it here, cane trucks going by all day, and it is a fine time to take weight off a big oak before the winter wind finds it. When the last limb is down and stacked, the drive is passable and the yard looks like nobody worked in it. The river gives this parish its weather and its living both, and the trees stand up to the first.
