About Fix It Field LLC

In the fall, grinding season comes to St. Martin Parish: cane trucks rumble along the two-lane roads, the fields around Parks are cut down to stubble, and the evening air carries a sweet, smoky edge from the harvest. Parks itself lies along Bayou Teche, between the cane and the water, and its yards press right up against all that working land. Fix It Field LLC answers unruly ground with a name that sounds like a promise to take a ragged patch and make it right. Grass gets mowed down to a level, even field, the overgrown margins cut away, and the lot made as orderly as the shorn rows across the road. When the harvest light goes long and golden, a lawn put in order looks like part of the season's work.
