Thibs Lawn Care

About Thibs Lawn Care

South of Opelousas the cane stands shoulder-high by September, and the fields breathe out a heaviness that settles over every yard between here and Sunset. Thibs Lawn Care works through that thick end of summer — mowing on schedule, edging the concrete, running the trimmer where the mower cannot reach along the back fence. The best moment is the last lap, when the stripes close up and the lawn goes from overgrown to squared away in the space of an hour. Because grass barely rests in this parish, the value is in showing up again and again rather than in any one visit. Opelousas earns its shade and its slow evenings, and a cut yard is where they are best enjoyed.
