About Nickys Nice Plants LLC

Early summer in Mid-City is a green riot: banana leaves wide as umbrellas, elephant ears nodding over the fences, ferns spilling off porch rails, and a warm rain that seems to fall just to watch everything grow. In New Orleans, plants do not wait for permission. Nickys Nice Plants LLC keeps lawns in this city of eager growth, carrying a plant-lover's name and a plant-lover's eye: the grass mowed to a soft, even nap, its edges kept neat, so the lushness around it reads as a garden instead of a jungle. There is a knack to letting a Mid-City yard be abundant without letting it run away, and that balance is the whole pleasure of the job. After a summer shower, when every leaf drips and shines, a freshly cut yard looks almost lacquered.
