The GroundsMen

About The GroundsMen

City Park sprawls green across the middle of New Orleans, its ancient oaks and quiet lagoons ringed by neighborhoods of tidy homes and gardens. The GroundsMen work the yards along the park's edges, mowing the lawns, edging the walks, and clearing the leaves that drift down from the old moss-hung branches. The long subtropical season keeps everything lush, the grass thick between the summer storms, and steady mowing holds each yard neat beside the park's green calm. There's a real satisfaction in leaving a lawn near City Park trimmed clean and even, the lagoons glinting somewhere past the trees. Mowing, edging, trimming, and cleanup, done in the green heart of the city.
