About J’s Crazy Cutz, LLC

Morganza lives beside the Mississippi River levee, and the great gated spillway that shares the town's name is a reminder of how much water this flat Pointe Coupee country has learned to live with. In spring, when the river runs high and brown on the far side of the levee, the yards in town are growing just as hard, and the grass wants cutting before it gets ahead of anybody. J's Crazy Cutz, LLC mows the yards here under a name that grins at you, but the cut itself is anything but wild: straight passes, an even height, trim lines drawn sharp against the sidewalk. A fresh-mown lawn beneath the long green slope of the levee looks like order holding its ground. That is the work, and it carries a little flair.
