About Southern Grounds, L.L.C.

On the West Bank of the Mississippi, morning arrives over Marrero as a low river fog that lifts off the levee and settles into the grass. Southern Grounds, L.L.C. sets out early, cutting the flat delta lawns while the dew still beads on every blade of St. Augustine. There is pride in the first clean pass of the mower, in the straight edge laid down along a driveway before the Gulf heat climbs. They tend lawns across Marrero and the neighboring West Bank towns, coaxing order out of ground that grows fast and green. By the time the sun clears the oaks, a trimmed yard stands sharp against the morning.
