Mitch's Lawncare

About Mitch's Lawncare

On the West Bank the day starts damp — fog off the river lying along the levee, live oaks dripping, all of Marrero still holding the night's water. Mitch's Lawncare gets moving in that grey hour, mowing ahead of the heat, edging drives and sidewalks, running the trimmer along fences and around the oaks, then clearing the concrete before pulling out. Ground this close to Barataria grows the year round and grows quickly, so a week between cuts is genuinely a week. The satisfaction is in the straight line: a lawn brought to one height, the edge along the sidewalk cut like a seam, a yard that looks intentional on a street full of green.
