PAUL'S YARD SERVICE

About PAUL'S YARD SERVICE

In Many, the morning comes down through longleaf pine in long green columns, and the red clay underneath takes a mower's line the way paper takes a pencil. Paul's Yard Service works those Sabine Parish yards — mowing, edging along walks and drives, trimming the corners a deck can't reach, and clearing the cuttings so the grass lies open to the light. Up here the hills roll instead of lying flat, so a lawn has shoulders and slopes, and getting the passes to follow them is its own small satisfaction. By the time the heat stacks up over the pines in the afternoon, the yard is already done: edges finished, beds swept, driveway clean enough to see the seams. It is plain work, and it makes a house look loved from the road.
