Bayou Grass Cutting

About Bayou Grass Cutting

Where Bayou Castine winds through Mandeville, cypress stand knee-deep in the tea-dark water and a heron will lift off if you come too close. The yards along those wet edges hold their green late into the year, and cutting them right is the whole point of this outfit. They mow to a clean height, trim the tall grass at the water line, and blow the clippings back off every drive and walk. It is humid, buzzing, alive work down by the bayou, and the finished lawns show it. The name says it plain: grass, cut, beside the water.
