About Martin's Nursery & Landscape

On a fall morning in Luling, fog lies on the Mississippi so thick that the towers of the Hale Boggs bridge seem to rise out of nothing. Martin's Nursery & Landscape brings a grower's patience to Luling, a west-bank town in St. Charles Parish where the soil is river-made and anything planted wants to take hold. Autumn is a planting season here, a welcome break after the long heat, and Martin's spends it getting gardens in order for winter. Lawns are cut and trimmed neatly, beds are refreshed, and each property is shaped so it sits comfortably behind the levee. When the fog burns off and the river traffic reappears, the whole property looks as if it grew that way on purpose.
