About High Tops Tree Services

LaPlace lives between two waters, the Mississippi rolling behind its levee on one side and Lake Pontchartrain lying open on the other, and the wind that matters comes up out of the Gulf in late summer. High Tops Tree Services works the neighborhoods off Airline and the lanes running back toward the cane fields, removing trees that have grown into a roofline and shaping the live oaks and water oaks that make the shade worth having. Pruning here is half planning: a crown thinned in spring lets a storm pass through instead of catching it. When one does come through, the work is clearing drives and cutting limbs off fences until a street can breathe again. St. John the Baptist Parish knows how to put itself back together, and this is one small piece of how.
