About Cutting Edge Lawn Service Inc.

Before LaPlace is fully awake, the levee stands over town like a long grass hill with the Mississippi hidden behind it, and the first light comes over the top of it gray and soft. That is when Cutting Edge Lawn Service Inc. likes to be rolling — mowers off the trailer, dew still heavy, the day's heat still an hour away. The work is mowing, edging, trimming and clearing away everything the cut leaves behind, done the same deliberate way on a narrow front yard as on a long commercial frontage. By the time river road traffic thickens, a handful of properties have gone from shaggy to squared-off. A crisp edge along a sidewalk is a small thing to take pride in, and this is a crew that takes pride in it.
