About Hurley Lawns

February in Lacombe is the month the camellias carry, red and white against wet green while most of the country is still shut down for the year. Hurley Lawns takes the first cuts of the season right about then — mowing, edging, trimming and clearing the beds of everything the winter rain matted down. Watching a yard wake up week by week, from that first tentative pass to the full weekly rhythm of April, is one of the better parts of doing this on the north shore. The aim each visit is simple: a level cut, a clean border, nothing left on the drive. Lawns are kept across Lacombe and out toward Mandeville, Abita Springs and Slidell.
