About Allen Forestry & Lawn LLC

Kentwood sits up in the piney hills where Tangipahoa Parish runs to the Mississippi line, dairy pasture on one side of the road and loblolly on the other. Allen Forestry & Lawn LLC mows through that country in spring, when pine pollen dusts every hood yellow and the grass comes on faster than anyone expects. The work is mowing on the slope and the flat, trimming around the pines and porch piers, and edging the drive to a firm line that keeps the yard from bleeding into the gravel. Come autumn the visits turn to cleanup — needles and leaves off the turf, beds raked back open before the cool settles in. There is a plain satisfaction in a hill yard cut so evenly it looks pressed.
