About Wild Iris Lawn and Landscaping, LLC

Down where Bayou Barataria runs past Jean Lafitte, spring announces itself in blue — wild iris standing in the shallow marsh water for a few short weeks, then gone. It is a demanding place to grow anything: salt in the air, water at the back of the lot, oaks bent by every storm that ever came up the bayou. Wild Iris Lawn and Landscaping, LLC works with that rather than against it, mowing and trimming, shaping and mulching beds, choosing plantings that can stand wind and wet, and clearing the yard once weather has moved through. A trimmed lawn running down toward the water, with a shrimp boat easing past, is worth every bit of the trouble. Jean Lafitte, Barataria, Crown Point, Lafitte, Marrero and Westwego.
