About Marshland Property Design

Water decides a lot in this country. West of town, where Indian Bayou and the Houston River fold into the Calcasieu, the ground stays soft and remembers every rain, and a yard laid out against that grade will tell on itself by August. Marshland Property Design works with the low ground rather than arguing with it — shaping beds so runoff has somewhere to travel, setting plantings that do not mind wet feet, keeping the turf cut and the edges defined so the property holds its lines. The finished look is plain and durable: grass that drains, beds that stay where they were put, a place that comes through a wet spring looking like it meant to. Lawn care, bed shaping, plantings and drainage-minded yard work for Moss Bluff, Gillis and Lake Charles.
