About Southern Landscapes

In July the crepe myrtles along the Inniswold roads open all at once — watermelon pink, white, that deep dusty red — and they hold it straight through the worst of the heat. Landscaping in East Baton Rouge Parish comes down to that same trick: choosing what actually thrives in humidity and heavy clay, then giving it room and a clean edge. Southern Landscapes designs and installs the beds, sets shrubs and seasonal color, lays mulch, and keeps the lawn mowed and trimmed so the plantings have something to sit against. When the border is crisp and the mulch is fresh, the same old house reads differently from the street. Inniswold, Baton Rouge, Gardere, Old Jefferson and Prairieville.
