Mosquito Authority

About Mosquito Authority

Henderson evenings come on slow — the sun drops behind the spillway bridge, the swamp starts up its noise, and the mosquitoes rise out of the grass like somebody sent them an invitation. Living at the rim of the Atchafalaya means the yard belongs to everything unless a person tends it. Mosquito Authority treats yards here for mosquitoes, working the shaded low spots, the ditch edges and the pockets of standing water where they breed, and cutting back the growth around a house so there's less for them to hide in. The reward is simple and specific: a porch a family can sit on in June, well past dark, while the light goes purple over the water. Henderson, Butte La Rose, Breaux Bridge and Parks.
