Kickin Grass (Kickin Ya Lawns Grass)

About Kickin Grass (Kickin Ya Lawns Grass)

Haynesville sits up in the red-clay hills of Claiborne Parish, close enough to the Arkansas line that the pines seem to lean north. Summer here takes grass as a dare — it grows fast, it grows again, and by July a yard can go from tidy to overgrown in the space of one long weekend. Kickin Grass keeps pace with mowing, edging, string trimming along fence lines and mailbox posts, and hauling off clippings and the brush left over from winter. The best part is the last pass, when the cut meets the road in one unbroken line and the whole yard finally reads as a single thought. Same work, week after week, from Haynesville down to Homer and out toward Shongaloo.
