About The Cracked Pot Landscading Company

Spring reaches Hahnville from the water side first — Bayou Gauche greening up, the air softening, and by late March every bed in the parish wanting to be turned. The Cracked Pot Landscading Company works that season for what it is worth, setting plants while the ground is warm and willing, cutting beds to a clean crescent and mulching them dark so the color has something to sit against. Shrubs are pruned with next year in mind, containers and border plantings arranged where they will catch the evening light off the cane fields. Mowing and edging keep the lawn around all of it trimmed to a tidy frame, and the trimmings leave rather than linger. Gardens in this soil hardly need convincing — they mostly need a good hand and an eye for how it will all fill in.
