About DR. Honeydo

There is a list on nearly every refrigerator door in Gretna: the grass, the hedge crowding the front steps, the leaves drifting into the side yard where no one ever looks. DR. Honeydo takes that list down on a Saturday morning, when sweet olive is coming through a fence line somewhere on the block and the neighborhood is still moving slow. The work is mowing and edging, trimming shrubs back off the windows, clearing the corners that got away, and hauling every bit of it off so the yard looks tended rather than merely cut. These are the old shoulder-to-shoulder blocks where a strip of grass beside the steps counts as much as a whole back lot, and it gets the same attention. The reward is a homeowner stepping out with coffee to find nothing left on the list.
