About Diggs Landscaping & Garden

February in Gretna is less a winter than a pause — camellias hanging heavy on the bush, azalea buds tightening, a gray week and then one warm afternoon that fools the whole street into believing spring arrived early. Diggs Landscaping & Garden plants into that pause, setting shrubs and flowers while the ground is cool and the roots have time to take hold before the heat comes back up off the river. Beds are cut to a clean line, turned and mulched, pruning done with an eye to how the plant will look in July rather than only today. Mowing and edging carry the rest of the year, keeping the lawn as the calm frame around everything blooming inside it. A garden here is never finished, and that is the good part — there is always the next season to plant toward.
