About DD Lawn Care Services, LLC

Huey P. Long Avenue runs straight up from the river through the old heart of Gretna, and by mid-afternoon the storefront awnings throw long bars of shade across the sidewalk. DD Lawn Care Services, LLC keeps to the blocks on either side of it, the tight grids of small front yards where a lawn is measured in steps rather than acres and every inch shows. Mowing and edging come first, then the string trimmer around porch piers, gateposts and the tree in the neutral ground, then the clippings swept off the concrete instead of left to wash into the drain. Overgrown corners get cut back, hedges brought down off the windows, the whole yard tidied until it reads as finished. Come evening the street looks the way people remember it looking, one lot at a time.
